Hollywood star Brooke Shields has accused Liam Neeson of proposing to her – before dumping her weeks later.
The US actress started dating the Taken actor in 1992 after she broke up with her college boyfriend Dean Cain.
The 49-year-old was taken by his status and said he “wooed her with his brogue, his poetry and his s***y choice of Pinot Grigio wine”.

She claims that Liam, 62, got so serious that after three months he proposed to her “without a ring” before he had to jet off to Los Angeles to star in a new play.
However Brooke decided to turn down the brash proposal, fearing he would fall in love with one of her co-stars.

She told him: “Knowing you, you’ll probably fall in love with your next leading lady and marry her.” She added: “And I was dead right.”
That turned out to be Natasha Richardson, who he married in 1994 before she tragically died in a ski accident in 2009.
