The Ray D’Arcy show decided to play a cringe-worthy trick on viewers last night in one of the most bizarre television segments we’ve ever seen.
The RTE host promised the audience that he would be sitting down to interview Hollywood A-lister Jack Nicholson.
Naturally, viewers were very excited about the prospect of the film icon making an appearance on the show, however they were left feeling a little disappointed with the reality.
It turns out that in fact, Jack was no where near RTE studios last night and instead, the show brought on a look-a-like named Norman for a chat with Ray.
The audience immediately burst out into a standing ovation for what they thought was the screen legend himself, until the host told them the truth.
It looks like Ray wasn’t too happy with the idea either as he pointed out to the audience that it “wasn’t his idea”after they were told that the man was an imposter.
