Ed Sheeran provided the standout moment on last night’s Late Late Toy Show – when he specially flew in to surprise a fan.
The UK singer jumped straight on a plane across to Ireland after getting off stage in Newcastle to shock Aimee Keogh.
The 23-year-old star snuck out onto the RTE set as Aimee was testing a karaoke set by singing one of his songs – making her day by singing with her.
Ed also involved her when he sang Thinking Out Loud at the end of his slot on the Late Late Toy Show, leaving Aimee utterly delighted.
But the Sing star admitted he never expected to even show up at the Christmas extravaganza, which was hosted by Ryan Tubridy.
He said: “I didn’t even know I was going to come here. I had a gig in Newcastle tonight, I literally just flew in an hour ago.”

And Ed – whose surprise echoed that of Irish football star Robbie Keane last year – said he now wants the show to come to the UK.
He added: “They don’t have this in England. I wish they’d bring this over to England.”
