Simon Cowell has confirmed that Louis Walsh will not be returning for this series of The X Factor.
Rumours were rife that the Mayo man was “dropped” from the ITV series after being on the judging panel for 11 years.
Speaking about Louis’ exit, Simon said:
“Louis Walsh is one of the good guys. We will always be friends. The door remains open and who knows what’s next.”

Today the rumour mill has gone into overdrive about who could be replacing Louis, with reports that BBC radio DJ Nick Grimshaw could be joining the panel.
There have also been rumours that One Direction star Louis Tomlinson will be stepping in.
