Meet the presenters of RTE's brand new entertainment show Swipe TV

These are the faces of RTE’s brand new kids show Swipe TV, airing three times a week on RTE2.

The new series is aimed at seven to thirteen year olds and will feature quizzes, a kids help desk and plenty of celebrity guests and new presenters Hazel Doyle and Simon Mulcahy have revealed the show has made all their dreams come true.

Kilkenny native Hazel, who has a degree in English, French and Theatre from NUI Galway, has teamed up with Dublin native Simon.

“We will be showing the nation how to make their life a little easier with some life-hacks, like making funny phone-covers, or how to place-kick a rugby ball better, and having a look at unusual science and some great days out,” Hazel said.

“On Fridays, there will be lots of celebrity interviews, so there’s really something for everyone.”

Co-presenter Simon revealed being on TV has always been a life-long dream, but the Dublin native never thought he would “make the cut”.

“I remember thinking that it would be an absolute dream job and always thought that it looked it like it was too fun to be true,”he told the RTE Guide.

“And considered it as a fantasy ambition, but honestly I never really thought I’d make the cut, funnily enough.”

The show kicks off Monday March 2 and will feature Hazel and Simon turning the tables on teaches in quiz show, Who Rules The School?

Students will compete to win a chance to gunge their teachers as punishment for all their embarrassing classroom crimes.

“Most of my teachers I really loved, but I’d be lying if I said that I wouldn’t have gunged them,” she laughed.

The pair are following in the footsteps of former RTE kid show presenters Diana Bunici and Katie Van Buren.
