Melanie McCabe has revealed she will never try out for another talent competition like The Voice or Britain’s Got Talent –  after attempting the X Factor four times.
The Dublin singer famously auditioned for the ITV series, making it to the judges houses twice before being sent home both times.
However, Melanie told Goss.ie she has put that part of her life behind her and now plans to make herself into a success all on her own.
“No, no, Â I would definitely not audition for any of those shows. I think I’m done with all that now, I want to focus on my career path now,” she said.

Speaking at her first industry showcase at Dublin’s Sugar Club, Melanie admitted she doesn’t regret trying out for the series.
“I’m delighted I did it because I probably wouldn’t be here now if I didn’t do it, that’s kind of led me to where I am now so the X Factor was a huge platform for me so I would never regret that.”
Looking delighted to launch her solo career, Melanie told Goss.ie she was nervous about going out on her own.
“I’m a bit nervous, yeah, it’s a bit of pressure because before I would only be supporting an act or I would be singing one or two songs, whereas when you have to entertain people for the whole night it is a lot of pressure on you.”

Meanwhile the X Factor star is already working on her debut album and is looking forward to releasing it in the coming months.
“Everything is in the pipeline. We’ve got an album, it’s not done but we’re in the process of doing it, that’ll be in the next few months.
“There will be some original songs and then some covers as well,” she added.
