Soap star Adam Weafer has revealed the stars of Red Rock have it easy compared to the Fair City cast.

Adam who plays David Hennessey in the TV3 show admitted that having only two episodes a week compared to four, means the actors have more time to prepare.

“Fair City are four episodes a week, god bless them,” he told Goss.ie.

“We have two episodes a week but we have that little window of preparation that is everything to us. It lets you breathe and let’s you really indulge and look into how I’m going to deliver this and how the scenes are going to go.

“I like the pace of it, you’re not thinking too much either because maybe you can over do it,” he added.

The 24-year-old actor however did admit that there has already been a demand for longer episodes.

Soap star: Adam admits the best complaint he’s received is that episodes are too short | VIPIRELAND.COM

“The best complaint I’ve heard is saying it’s too short and I think it is made for hour long episode a week because the stories are so good and intricate, you’re getting involved in a story then next of all it’s like you ‘have to wait until tomorrow night’,” he revealed.

Asking if there’s much pressure on the set to compete with their soap competitors, the TV star admitted there was tension at the beginning.

“Of course there’s pressure at the start, the amount of man hours that were put into those set, scripts and the money their pumping in Element pictures.

No pressure: Adam said there was pressure in the beginning of the show

“No doubt there’s pressure there but when you’re on set you really and truly don’t feel it, everyone is working so hard,” he told Goss.ie.

“To be in the same sentence as Coronation Stet and Emmerdale, being paired up against Fair City, that’s great, it’s what you want.

“The more competition the better and it makes everyone try harder and it’s just great for TV instead of nothing else out there, competition is always great,” he smiled.
