Kim Kardashian has returned to LA, after reports suggest her husband Kanye West was rushed to hospital after an alleged “psychotic break”.
The Armenian beauty had flown to New York for her first red carpet appearance at the Angel Ball, but cancelled last minute as news broke of her husband’s hospitalisation.
According to the Daily Mail, the rapper was under ‘psychiatric evaluation’ at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday.
Pals also told the publication that Kanye’s ‘breakdown’ was due to problems in his marriage to Kim Kardashian, and paranoia over his rift with Jay Z and Beyoncé.

This morning, Kanye and Kim’s close pal John Legend caused even more concern as he said, “We were with Kim right before all that and I was concerned by what I saw, so hopefully he’s getting some rest and some time to figure things out.”
According to NBC News, Los Angeles police responded to a medical welfare call at about 1:20 p.m. No criminal activity was reported, and the decision to hospitalise Kanye was considered for his own safety as he was suffering ‘severe sleep deprivation’.
Sources say Kanye tried to resist being transported to the L.A. hospital, and had to be handcuffed to a gurney en route.
“Kim is fed up. They’ve been bickering constantly – she didn’t want Kanye to do the tour in the first place. She wanted him by her side as she recovered from her traumatic robbery in Paris,” a close friend told DailyMail.com.

“She lost days with him while he’s touring and then he made a rash decision to end the concert after ten minutes and go on a rant.
“He had a psychotic break. Kanye is very hot tempered and he’s very reactionary. A lot of times, he speaks before he thinks and he’s very sensitive.”
Kim’s friends and family are also said to be concerned about her mental state, as she’s still so fragile since she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris last month.
“We’re all really worried about Kim – no one has been able to get hold of her since it happened. Kim got through her ordeal [in Paris] without losing her mind and now she has to deal with Kanye losing his.
“She has to take care of him when really, she needs taking care of herself. She’s still not fully recovered and now she has to deal with this. It’s a complete mess,” they said.

Kim was due to attend Denise Rich’s Angel Ball on Monday night, to celebrate 20 years of funding life-saving cancer research.
However, her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, and their mother Kris Jenner attended the bash without her, as their late father Robert Kardashian, who died of esophageal cancer in 2003, was honoured on the night.
When asked how Kanye was doing on the red carpet, Kris replied, “I think he’s exhausted. Just really tired.’It’s a grueling tour.”
According to onlookers, Kris spent half the night pacing up and down the lobby on her phone surrounded by security guards – and she was reportedly furious that Kanye had ruined such a special evening for the Kardashian family.
“I overheard her in the ladies’ toilets on the phone saying ‘Great, another thing, another thing ruined for us. This was supposed to be a nice evening for us and everything is ruined because of Kanye’,” an onlooker told DailyMail.com.
