Zayn Malik has made rare comments about his daughter Khai.
The singer shares his two-year-old baby girl with his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
The former couple, who split in October 2021, are reportedly still “very much” in each other’s lives and co-parenting their daughter.
In his first interview in six years, Zayn appeared on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.
The former One Direction star gushed: “Since I’ve had my daughter, the main thing in my mind is trying to be a good example to her.”
“That’s why I’m even doing this interview, you know? I used to get a lot of anxiety around having a conversation like this. And I want her to be able to look at me and be like, ‘Yo, my dad’s doing this.’”
Speaking about how he’s changed after becoming a dad, Zayn admitted: “I keep being told I’m telling dad jokes. And I’m leaning into it. I’m just like, ‘It’s OK. It’s cool.’”
“People just look at me like I’m a weirdo, and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m a dad, I’m allowed to tell these jokes now,'” Zayn joked.
The 30-year-old revealed that his view on life has changed since welcoming his daughter to the world.
The singer admitted: “There’s a certain point in adult life where everything is vague and grey and boring and she’s brought that colour back for me for sure.”
