Tributes are pouring in for singer and actress Jane Birkin, who has sadly passed away aged 76.
According to Le Parisien newspaper, the English-French star was found dead in her home in Paris by a carer.
Her cause of death has not been reported.

Jane, who inspired the Hermès Birkin designer handbag, was best known for her on and off-screen relationship with the late Serge Gainsbourg.
Serge and Jane met while co-starring in 1969 French satirical romantic comedy Slogan, and the pair went on to release a debut album that same year.
The album featured the well-known track ‘Je t’aime…moi non plus’.

Jane and Serge were together for 12 years, and shared a daughter named Charlotte. Serge died in 1991.
The actress also shared a daughter named Kate with her ex-husband John Barry – but she sadly died in 2013.
Jane had a third daughter named Lou, who she shared with Jacques Doillon.
