Tom Parker admits he’s cried over his hair loss in candid post about brain tumour battle

Tom Parker has admitted he’s cried over his hair loss, in a candid post about his brain tumour battle.

Back in October, the singer told fans that he had been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour, and was undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

The 32-year-old’s treatment has caused his hair to fall out, something Tom really struggled with in the beginning.

The Wanted star has since posted a photo of his bare head on Instagram, and told fans he’s finally accepted his baldness.

He captioned the post: “Having been in the public eye since the age of 21 my appearance has always been important to me.”

“I have had many different hairstyles from a Danny zuko quiff and the crazy blonde stage my wife hated,” he wrote.

“When I started treatment my hair started to fall out, so after a morning at the hospital I came home and told @being_kelsey to shave my head.”

“I remember this so vividly, I felt like part of me was being taken away as I saw the hair drop to the floor. There were tears.”

“I wore hats for the first couple of months as I was embarrassed by my appearance,” Tom confessed.

“I know it sounds silly for a man to be so bothered by baldness when I was facing so much more, but to me it felt like I was wearing a badge of baldness that shouted ‘I HAVE CANCER.'”

“So here I am facing my fears and laying myself bare,” Tom wrote.

“I have accepted my baldness and i now wear this ‘new do’ with pride. It’s a trophy of what I have overcome and what I have yet to beat 💪🏻.”

Friends and fans have since flooded the comment section with supportive messages.

One wrote: “Proud of you buddy! The word ‘rollercoaster’ has never been more appropriate. The word ‘headf**k’ even more so 😂😂 Smashing it, looking better than ever and ready for the next battle.”

Another said: “Oh Tom! I’m so proud of you! lovelovelove.”

The news comes after Tom shared some hopeful news earlier this month, revealing there was a “significant reduction” in his tumour.
