Tom Hardy has been hit by bizarre claims made by a photographer who inspired his latest film.
US photographer Danny Lyon, whose book The Bikeriders inspired Tom’s latest film, has been left baffled following his alleged interaction with the star.
After travelling to Cincinnati to meet the actor, the iconic photographer has claimed he was warned not to look the Englishman in the eye.
Danny told The Sun: “They tried to keep me away but I finally get there.
“It’s f***ing freezing. I just want to meet Tom Hardy.”
“He gets on set and they say, ‘You can’t look at him’,” he alleged.
“I said, ‘What do you mean? Why can’t I look at him?’ They say, ‘Oh, he doesn’t like it’.”
“So they make me hide behind a tree and all this bulls**t,” he claimed.
This is not the first time Tom has been insulted by fellow stars after their encounter.
In 2022, Charlize Theron revealed her negative experience with the actor.
The actress revealed how she felt threatened by Tom’s alleged behaviour while shooting the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road alongside him.
In one instance, the actor was due on set at 8 am, along with the rest of the cast and crew required that day.
Despite producers having made a “special request” for the actor to be punctual, he was reportedly more than three hours late, during which time Charlize remained in position, ready to shoot.
Camera operator Mark Goellnicht recalled: “She was really going to make a point. She didn’t go to the bathroom, didn’t do anything. She just sat in the War Rig.”
When Tom finally arrived Charlize exclaimed: “How disrespectful are you? The producers should fine the f***ing c*nt a hundred thousand dollars for every minute that he’s held up this crew”.
Tom allegedly responded by “charging up to her” and asking: “What did you say to me?”
Mark claimed that the actor seemed “quite aggressive” and that Charlize “really felt threatened.”
“That was the turning point, because then she said, ‘I want someone as protection.’”
Charlize added: “It got to a place where it was kind of out of hand, and there was a sense that maybe sending a woman producer down could maybe equalise some of it, because I didn’t feel safe.”
“I don’t want to make excuses for bad behaviour, but it was a tough shoot. Now, I have a very clear perspective on what went down.”
“I don’t think I had that clarity when we were making the movie. I was in survival mode; I was really scared shitless,” she concluded.
