Pregnant Love Island star Amy Hart reveals doctors warned her not to conceive

Pregnant Love Island star Amy Hart has revealed doctors warned her not to conceive after finding abnormal cells in her cervix.

The former flight attendant announced she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend Sam Rason on Monday.

However, she took to her Instagram story on Monday evening to share that she will need to be monitored throughout her pregnancy as she went against doctors’ advice.

Amy was diagnosed with HPV back in May, and underwent an “uncomfortable” colposcopy to investigate her “dodgy cells” in June.

On Monday, the Love Island star revealed she may need abnormalities in her cervix taken out after a nurse warned her they were “looking like high grade cells”.

The former flight attendant will need to undergo further tests to check for precancerous cells and admitted that being under the special attention of a consultant is “quite scary”.

“We were supposed to talk about this on Loose Women but we all got carried away,” she told her followers. “So HPV, I’ve got CIN1 and C1N2 on my cervix.”

“The lady told me ‘Do not get pregnant till I’ve taken these cells out,'” Amy said. “I didn’t know at the time that I already was pregnant.”

“So now I’m under a consultant. They are trying not to take them out because they can cause miscarriage or early labour… Obviously hopefully we can leave them but it’s all been quite scary.”

“Oh and I’ve also got four big fibroids on the outside luckily. Yeah it’s all fun and games down in the chamber. It’s all fun and games.”

Amy has openly documented her fertility struggles and her egg freezing journey.

“I didn’t want people to think it was all a lie. [The pregnancy] was very unexpected” she told her followers.

The former flight attendant underwent three rounds of egg freezing – two of which were successful, resulting in 12 of her eggs being frozen for £12,000.

“I might need them in the future,” Amy said on Loose Women. “It was never about not being able to get pregnant, it was more about the longevity of my egg reserve… If I don’t need them, then I’ll donate them.”
