Molly-Mae Hague has made a heartbreaking confession about Tommy Fury’s proposal.
Molly-Mae and Tommy, who met on Love Island in 2019, got engaged in Ibiza on July 23.
The special moment came exactly six months after they welcomed their baby daughter Bambi.
Speaking in one of her YouTube videos, Molly-Mae admitted she thought Tommy was going to break-up with her as he was “off” in the days leading up to the proposal.
“This vlog was recorded before everything went down but I couldn’t not come on and say hi, not come on and say I’m a fiancée!,” the former PrettyLittleThing creative director gushed.
“This vlog was recorded a couple days before we left for Ibiza. What you’re going to see is an extremely real day in my life, it’s very realistic. It’s comedy gold some of the comments you guys are going to pick up on me saying about why are we going to Ibiza and me stressing about packing because it was so last minute.”
“I was completely fooled. I fully thought we were going for something completely different.”
“I wanted to pre warn you for this video because watching back I was like, ‘This isn’t my finest side,’ I spoke about why I was bit down in the dumps in this vlog.”
“Another reason I was quite down is because you know as a woman when you have a gut feeling that something is just not right and I couldn’t put my finger on what was going on but Tommy was not acting himself. I think it was contributing to how I felt that something just felt off. I was all over the place”.
“Do you know in Bridesmaids when Lillian is talking to Annie about how she thought her boyfriend was breaking up with her but the reason she wasn’t sure was because he was going to propose to her – if there is any way to describe how I was feeling that week, it was literally that.”
“I was like ‘Something is going on with Tommy, he doesn’t seem himself’.”
“You’ve seen the not so fine side of me, I’ve been real, I’ve been miserable not bringing energy,” Molly-Mae continued.
“I’ve been a little bit sad today and I think it’s my hormones, so please do bear with me.”
The couple announced their engagement by sharing a black-and-white video of the moment Tommy proposed last month.
Molly-Mae, who looked stunning in a white jumpsuit, broke down in tears when she saw her beau standing by a cliff, surrounded by white flowers and holding their daughter.
The 24-year-old then handed Bambi to Molly-Mae, got down on one knee and asked his longtime love to marry him.
As the professional boxer got down on one knee, Grammy-nominated Irish artist RuthAnne sang her hit song The Vow for them live.
