Lucy Mecklenburgh takes a pop at Scarlett Moffatt over fitness DVD scandal

Scarlett's DVD was recently slammed for being a sham

Lucy Mecklenburgh has taken a pop at Scarlett Moffatt over her fitness DVD scandal.

The I’m A Celebrity star recently came under fire after it was reported that she actually lost weight by attending an intense bootcamp, not by following her fitness DVD steps.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine, fitness fanatic Lucy said, “To have lost that much weight, I take my hat off to them, they’re being offered these incredible deals and I can see why young girls like Scarlett Moffatt take them.”

“But what we need is more honesty about how they actually lost the weight,” she continued.

“I’m quite happy that it’s all come out because I see a lot of girls quite disheartened that they’d bought something thinking they were going to lose five stone in three months like [the celebrities] did. It’s not realistic and it’s not sustainable.”

According to The Sun, Scarlett lost a huge amount of weight at a Swiss bootcamp, on a restricted diet of only 700 calories a day, not the 1,200 that was shown in her DVD.
