Love Island’s Tom Clare has opened up about viewers wanting Molly Smith and Callum Jones to reunite and said “It’s sh*t.”
The footballer won the All-Stars series of the show alongside his partner Molly Smith on February 19th.
However, fans were left disappointed at the end of the season as the public had hoped for a “fairytale reunion” between the exes.
During an appearance on Sophie Haboo and Melissa Tattam’s podcast Wednesdays, Tom revealed: “I’ve come out and I’ve seen a lot of messages that say Molly and Callum should get back together and it’s s*** to see.”
“It is s***, but in the villa there was no sign of it. If there had been an incline, if there was flirting, I would have addressed it but there was nothing at all.”
“I understand it, they want the fairytale and they had been together a long time but at the end of the day it is still s*** to see.”
The 24-year-old also addressed the “history” mentioned on the show between himself and fellow islander Georgia Steel.
However, the footballer reassured viewers that their romance was not as serious as producers made it out to be and confessed that they only met up “twice” outside the villa.
Tom set the record straight and said: “Obviously I must have seen Georgia for two days outside of the villa… we weren’t seeing each other.”
“We weren’t dating or anything like that. I wouldn’t class it as history at all.”
Molly who was also on the podcast revealed a comment that Georgia S made to her that wasn’t aired.<
The 29-year-old spilt the tea and said: “She did try to spend a lot of time with Tom,”
“She did say one thing to us that I don’t think was aired. After Tom had done his Heart Rate Challenge and when he left, she shouted across me to Arabella, ‘He put his hand on my chest and neck’ or whatever… ‘I wonder how he knew how to do that… and I was just sat there.'”
Appearing on Lorraine with her new beau Tom last week, cheeky presenter Ranvir Singh couldn’t help himself but ask if there was any spark left between her and Callum.
The presenter queried: “No sexual tension?”. to which Molly replied: “No, nothing at all.”
Speaking about the public’s desire for their reunion, Molly added: “We didn’t understand that though did we really.”
Tom added: “People were saying that on the calls from home, but no one in the villa had seen anything like that.”
Molly said: “Yeah and they are the ones living with us, so there was nothing at all.”
