Love Island’s Jack Fincham avoids jail time for drug driving offence

Love Island’s Jack Fincham has avoided time in prison for a serious drug driving offence.

The reality star shot to fame on Love Island back in 2018, which he won with his then-girlfriend Dani Dyer.

Last August, Jack was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving, after he was caught speeding in his BMW 520D down the hard shoulder of the A2 in Kent.

Appearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court today, Jack managed to escape jail after admitting to drug driving and driving without due care and attention.

The reality star, who also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and using false number plates, was handed a 12 week sentence suspended for 18 months.

Jack was ordered to pay a £346 fine, a £154 surcharge and £85 in court costs too, and must take ten Rehabilitation Activity Requirement sessions.

According to The Sun, Jack has also been disqualified from driving until October 2029, and must complete 250 hours of unpaid work.

This includes the 36-month driving ban he received last October, following a separate drug-driving incident in March 2023.

In court today, probation officer Jodie Mardell argued that Jack was “heavily” reliant on cocaine at the time of the incident, and used the Class A drug five days a week.

The former Love Island winner is now sober, and focusing on his career as a professional boxer.

During his sentencing, the judge said: “I am happy to suspend the sentence due to the confirmation that Mr Fincham has stopped taking drugs and drinking and that he is also a professional boxer who runs his own business.”

The news comes after Jack opened up about his drug addiction for the first time in November, in which he candidly confessed that he “should be dead”.
