Montana Brown has confirmed that she is “single”, after she was recently linked to semi-pro footballer Charlie Edwards.
The Love Island star reportedly met the Waltham Abbey FC player on the invite-only dating app Elite, but Montana has now stated that she is still very much on the market.
The 24-year-old shared a YouTube video entitled ‘LIFE UPDATE | RELATIONSHIP STATUS’, where she stated she was currently “baeless.”
“I am officially single and I am loving it,” she told her subscribers.
Montana also opened up about her split from her ex-boyfriend Elliott Reeder for the first time, after their two-year relationship ended earlier this year.
The Love Island star admitted that she was “pretty down in the dumps” following the break-up, but that she has taken the time to focus on herself.
“Everyone was asking: ‘Are you still single?’, I am officially single but I’m actually loving it. The show must go on,” she confessed.
“I’m feeling pretty fresh. I mean, I wasn’t feeling fresh when it first happened don’t get me wrong. I was pretty down in the dumps. But everything happens for a reason and I’ve really been able to focus on myself, my personal growth and personal goals.”
“I feel way more driven to do well in life. I think when you’re not focused on someone else, you have room to think about you. That’s what I’ve realised – this year is all about me.”
“The first few months when I was single, I was dating a few people, and I just realised that you really have to go for a man…I went on some dates with some dummies,” she admitted.
“One guy, he was just so pathetic! He just came up with the most extravagant excuses… He’d be like ‘I really like you’ and then when it was coming up to meeting up he’d be like ‘You’re never going to believe it, my dad fell in a bush and I can’t come.'”
“It’s when you’re not looking that you find the most amazing people. The first few months, I was dating people for the sake of it.”
Hinting that a potential romance could be on the cards, she added: “I was manifesting a man, writing down the traits that I wanted and then one of them just appeared – like a rabbit out of a hat!”
A source previously told the MailOnline that Montana had been seeing Charlie following her split from Elliott: “I know Charlie’s been talking to her for a few weeks – and they went on a date recently.”
“He picked her up and they went for a walk in a park, which I think was near her, and played a bit of tennis. I think they got on well. She’s very funny, I know that.”
