Love Island star Jess Harding has revealed that she is in a new relationship after she split from Sammy Root.
The Love Island stars called it quits in October 2023, just weeks after winning the hit dating show.
A source confirmed the news to MailOnline at the time, saying: “Jess and Sammy have called it quits. Things have changed since leaving the villa and Jess has realised they’re better off as friends.”
Sammy later claimed he was blindsided by the news of their split in the press.
During a Q&A on Instagram on Monday, Jess was asked by a fan if she is still single.
Sharing a selfie, Jess wrote: “No” alongside a heart emoji.
Jess has previously shared short clips of the man in question on her Instagram Stories and has slowly been soft launching her new relationship.
Speaking about her break-up from Sammy, Jess previously told her Instagram followers: “I really don’t want to go into detail by doing a big statement, but we’re just very different and behave differently and that’s it.”
Speaking at ITV Palooza back in November, the 23-year-old said: “You know what, there’s no bad blood [between me and Sammy]. It was a mutual agreement. It’s one of them things.”
“I feel like when you’re in [the villa], you are in such a bubble.”
Jess explained: “Then we come out and realise our lives are different and it’s just one of them things.”
“I’m happy for him and see that he’s busy, so that’s the main thing.”
Speaking about rumours surrounding their split, Jess said: “I know the truth and so does he, and that’s all that matters at the end of the day.”
