Liam Payne and Tommy Fury sent fans into a frenzy on Wednesday night, when they appeared to tease a fight between them.
The former One Direction star and the Love Islander turned boxer took to Instagram to share a snap of them facing off, in what appeared to be a boxing match poster.
The poster read: “Old Trafford Manchester. Liam Payne. Tommy Fury. This summer. Announcement tomorrow.”

However, it has since been revealed that the pair will not be fighting each other, but will be going head-to-head in a celebrity football game for Soccer Aid.
I’m A Celeb 2022 winner Jill Scott will captain England as she makes her debut alongside fellow newcomers Tommy Fury, Jack Wilshere, Joel Corry, Bugzy Malone, Karen Carney and Gary Cahill.
They will be joined by familiar Soccer Aid faces including Usain Bolt, Liam Payne, Tom Grennan, Mo Farah, Steven Bartlett, Gary Neville and Vicky McClure.
Commenting on Soccer Aid’s announcement, one fan wrote: “and we though you were gonna boxðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚”
Another penned: “screaming crying throwing up because i fully thought they were gonna fight.”
A third commented: “i genuinely thought it was going to be fight.”
