Kaz Crossley breaks down in tears as she opens up about being arrested in the UAE

Kaz Crossley broke down in tears while opening up about being arrested in the United Arab Emirates.

The TV personality was detained at Abu Dhabi airport back in February, where she was due to board a connecting flight to Thailand, and was held in a Dubai prison for days.

The UK Sun reported at the time that Kaz’s name had been flagged over a two-year-old video of her snorting a white substance at a party in Dubai.

During her appearance on the Saving Grace podcast, Kaz gave a glimpse into her ordeal.

Speaking to host Grace Keeling, the Love Island star detailed being in a relationship with an “emotionally manipulative” and “controlling” man.

“I didn’t know that he took [the video in question] at the start of our relationship,” she admitted. “I didn’t know, and I was with him for a year after that. We were sleeping in the same bed together, he had that video and I had no idea.”

Kaz explained that during an argument she had with him during a holiday in Bali, he told her he was going to ruin her career.

“It wasn’t that he sent it to the press, he made an Instagram account and it was called ‘Kaz sniffing’,” The Love Island star said. “There was only one post and it was me in that dress that I wore, which wasn’t taken on the same night, and there was a swipe to that video.”

“As soon as I saw it, I didn’t even think it was him because it didn’t compute in my head that someone could be so evil, and so calculated, and so controlling to keep it and then release it.”

Kaz recalled confronting her former beau to see if one of his friends had taken and posted the video, which he vehemently denied.

In a panic, the Love Island star revealed she had contacted all of her friends to report the Instagram page and have it taken down.

“It was up for about 24 hours, and it had followed maybe one thousand people – and one of those people was a UK tabloid, and as soon as I saw that I thought ‘I’m f**king f**ked’.”

“I didn’t actually confirm that it was him until I screenshotted the video and zoomed into the corner of the picture, and there was a guy in the corner wearing jeans. I went back to that night and saw a picture [which confirmed her ex had taken the video].”

Recalling the moment she found out the story would be in the press, Kaz revealed she had received a call from her management who said he had been approached for comment.

“I started hysterically crying,” the Love Island star admitted. “I couldn’t even breathe. It was the worst feeling ever.”

“I thought that [when the story leaked], that that was the worst of it. I didn’t wanna speak about it.”

“Moving on from that, I worked on building myself and my career. A year after that situation, I’m on my way to Thailand, and without even thinking this company has booked me a transit in Abu Dhabi.”

“I’ve landed and they had my name on a piece of paper, and they were like ‘please sit down’, I must’ve waited for an hour or something before someone came over and were like ‘we’re CID’.”

“I got taken to the police station, and they were like ‘you have a case in Dubai’ and I was never told. No one contacted me.”

Kaz revealed she was put in an Abu Dhabi jail before being transferred to Dubai days later.

“They put me in a car and escorted me, and we turned up at a jail. They strip searched me and stuck all my stuff.”

“Next thing you know I was behind bars with all these other women.”

“I didn’t get arrested,” Kaz clarified. “I wasn’t taken in handcuffs.”
