Jamie Oliver has said that he wasn’t being brave when he chased down a robber.
The chef hit headlines recently when it was revealed that he chased a burglar down his road and pinned him to the ground until police were called.
Many fans and neighbours hailed the 43-year-old as a hero but he has now stated that what he did wasn’t brave.
“I didn’t have a choice so it wasn’t really about bravery. I wouldn’t recommend it,” Jamie told Metro UK.
The father-of-five said: “I had a tiny window to stop something getting much much worse. It was a very horrible, unfortunate and frightening scenario.”
The burglar has since been released without any charges made against him.
