Jade Thirlwall to appear on Little Mix: The Search via video link as she self-isolates

Jade Thirlwall will appear on the upcoming episode of Little Mix: The Search via video link as she self-isolates.

The new talent show first aired last month, which saw Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall audition potential members of the next big band.

The live shows were due to begin Saturday, October 17, but were postponed until October 24 after a number of crew members tested positive for COVID-19.

The show have since released a statement revealing that Jade will not be able to attend the live show as she was self-isolating at home.

They wrote: “Jade has to self-isolate this week and will therefore be carrying out her role as Mentor on ‘Little Mix The Search’ from home.

“For this Saturday’s show, Jade will participate via video link, continuing to mentor alongside Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Perrie.”

The bandmates have put together an all-girl, all-boy, mixed, and dance group – who are set to battle it out on the live shows for a chance to join Little Mix on their upcoming Confetti tour.

The news comes after the BBC programme confirmed a coronavirus outbreak among crew members last week.

They said at the time: “We can confirm that a small number of people on the Little Mix The Search production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.”

“Due to the format of the show we have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s programme. There are rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount.”
