Little Mix’s talent show postponed days before live shows – after crew members tests positive for COVID-19

Little Mix’s new talent show has been postponed just days before the first live show, after a number of crew members tested positive for COVID-19.

Little Mix: The Search first aired last month, which saw Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall audition potential members of the next big band.

The live shows were due to begin Saturday, October 17, but the BBC programme have since released a statement postponing the show due to a coronavirus outbreak.

It read: “We can confirm that a small number of people on the Little Mix The Search production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.”

“Due to the format of the show we have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s programme. There are rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount.

“We hope to be back on air on Saturday 24th October,” they concluded.

The bandmates have put together an all-girl, all-boy, mixed, and dance group – who are set to battle it out on the live shows for a chance to join Little Mix on their upcoming Confetti tour.
