Jacqueline Jossa praised after makeup-free ‘catfish’ video goes viral

Jacqueline Jossa has been praised by fans after she uploaded a makeup-free video on TikTok.

The mum-of-two labelled herself a “catfish” in the now-viral video, where she compared herself with a bare-face and wearing a dressing gown to a glam photo she had posted online.

Miming a voice-over, the actress said: “Do you know what it is? I’m all about self-love, but the absolute cheek of me to upload that picture while I look like this – it’s criminal!”

After posting the video on Monday, it has received over 1.2million views – with Jacqueline captioning the clip: “I just had too! #catfish it is criminal but we all do it b*tches! Make us feel a bit better 😂🙌🏼”

Jacqueline received high praise in the comment section for her honesty, with one user writing: “I have watched you in EastEnders and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and I think you are one of the very few celebrities that have remained real, beautiful, and funny.”

Another commented: “The thing I really love about you the most is you’re real. Don’t stop being genuine, it’s a rare quality”, while a third added: “You are a true inspiration, keep loving yourself and don’t ever change.”

Jacqueline has previously been praised for uploading “real” bikini photos on social media, after sharing the promo photo that was chosen from her InTheStyle swimwear collection shoot – but also a less flattering image from the same day.

“Shout out to all us women working on loving their bodies because that shit is hard and I’m proud of us ????????,” she wrote.

“Just wanted to share another posed v relaxed pic from my @inthestyle shoot! Of course I prefer the shot on the left but who sits like that around the pool, breathing in, arm aching, bum digging into the side ????????‍♀ .

“I really wanted to shoot my swimwear my way and show a bit of realness in how this looks on me.

“A huge thanks to @inthestyle for letting me do this and design a little swimwear collection which I think is flattering for all shapes!! I felt so comfortable in it all! It’s sizes 6-24, limited edition and launches Tuesday 6pm on the app ????.”

On the latest episode of #GossChats, Goss.ie CEO Ali Ryan chats with top makeup artist and influencer Keilidh Cashell about her brand new makeup range, adjusting to life in the spotlight and how she’s kept calm during the pandemic.
