Human remains have been found near the area where actor Julian Sands went missing.
The 65-year-old disappeared while hiking on California’s Mount San Antonio back in January.
San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department said in a statement that human remains were discovered in the wilderness on Saturday morning, and that the body has been taken to the coroner’s office to be identified.
The identification process is expected to be completed next week.
Julian is best known for his roles in films such as A Room with a View, Leaving Las Vegas, and Warlock, as well as TV appearances on 24, Smallville, and Banshee.
The English actor has lived in Los Angeles since 2020.

Julian’s brother Nick said two weeks after search efforts began that he had accepted the actor would not be found alive.
He said: “He has not yet been declared missing, presumed dead, but I know in my heart that he has gone.”
