Singer Mollie King has been revealed as the first contestant for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The Former Saturdays star announced the news while appearing on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 breakfast show.
“It’s something that I’ve always said I wanted to do. I’ve always watched it with my family and it looked so fun.
“I’m going to give it my all. I’m very competitive so watch out, contestants.”

The blonde beauty said she had been keeping the news a close secret, telling only her close family and bandmate, Frankie Bridge, who starred in the BBC show back in 2014.
“Frankie is the only other (The Saturdays) singer I’ve told. She was so excited. She was driving when I told her and she had to pull over.”
“I’m literally so excited to learn latin and ballroom dancing, and of course I can’t wait to get into the sequins too.
“It’s going to be a lot of hard work but I’m ready for the challenge.”
