Cheryl and Liam Payne have been refused permission to extend their £5 million mansion in Surrey.

According to the Mail Online, Woking Borough Council rejected plans to significantly increase the size of their home by a massive 133 per cent.

The couple reportedly wanted to demolish and rebuild a garage, build a passageway to the main house and an indoor pool, and add in a new guest house.

However, the council has ruled that Cheryl and Liam’s mansion, which they share with their baby son Bear, would be far too big, and spoil the stunning countryside views.

Case Officer Brooke Bougnague ruled, “The proposed single storey side and front extensions represent a disproportionate addition over and above the size of the original dwelling and consequently constitutes inappropriate development within the Green Belt.”

Liam signed the papers for their five bedroom mansion two years ago when the house was five years old, and the luxury property includes a dance studio, pool house and a tennis court.
