A host of famous faces got involved in some April Fool’s Day pranks on Monday.
Ant and Dec lead the list of stars who tried to fool their fans, by claiming they were ditching their TV careers to pursue their passion for food.
The duo teased their “surprise career move” on Instagram, and claimed they were set to release a recipe book and their own pop-up restaurant.
In a faux statement, Ant said: “I believe that food has the power to bring people together and create cherished memories…”
“That’s how my family feel when I make them beans on toast. I am excited to embark on this culinary journey with my sous chef, Dec.”
Meanwhile, Dec decribed the kitcken as his “favourite place”, and branded Ant “a brilliant pot washer”.
Despite their best efforts, the pair didn’t fool fans as they were inundated with messages that said “nice try”.
Good Morning Britain also got in on the action this morning.
Host Charlotte Hawkins was seen modelling a £700k pearl necklace, which was said to be owned by Marilyn Monroe in the past.
However, the necklace suddenly fell apart live on air, leaving host Richard Madeley in disbelief.

The crew on ITV’s This Morning also got involved in the madness today when they pranked host Alison Hammond.
In a segment about a vase, a woman claimed to have bought the piece for £1.50, which turned out to be worth a massive £30k.
Dermot then pretended to knock over the vase, leaving it smashed to smithereens on the ground.
Alison was horrified by his apparent mistake, and rushed to apologise to their guest before she was informed that it was, in fact, a prank.
