Adam Collard breaks his silence on Laura Woods romance – branding her ‘The One’

Adam Collard has broken his silence on his whirlwind romance with Laura Woods, branding her ‘The One’.

The personal trainer hard launched their relationship earlier this month, sharing a photo of them cuddling with a dog on his Instagram Stories.

The couple also recently enjoyed a trip to luxury coastal retreat Carbis Bay Estate together.

The 27-year-old has since told The Sun that he wooed TV presenter Laura through a series of flirty DM’s over Instagram, before asking her on a first date.

“The first time we met – I’ll hold my hands up – I did DM her first and got a reply but then nothing ever happened,” he said. “Then she called us out for basically leaving her on read.”

“It’s hard to meet people, isn’t it? I’m from Newcastle and eventually we met up, and then went on a very undercover date, and obviously what comes out in the press, comes out in the press, but it’s not always the full story.”

“I’m kind of glad in a way as well, as I feel like there’s an element of having to hide too much now.”

Adam confirmed their relationship is getting more “serious”, and said: “I would never get in a relationship with someone at least at one point [unless] I thought they were The One.”

The Love Island star’s new relationship with Laura come after his split from Lottie Moss.

Adam and Lottie struck up a romance after meeting on the latest series of Celebs Go Dating.

Speaking about his split from Lottie, Adam said: “We haven’t really spoken.

“It’s one of those things, there was an element of real there, and there was an element of we had a really good excuse of seeing each other, because the TV crew were putting us in the same cars, and they were making me travel to London more.

“I had an excuse to go and see her because we were working together.

“I’m in Newcastle and I opened a gym the week of Celebs Go Dating starting, and I’ve got to be honest, I didn’t have time for anyone – let alone Lottie, and I am a very selfish person and especially with work.

“I feel coming off the show, which was probably the right time – not during that, because I did have a few big things that were happening in my life at that point.”

“I am still human and she is still human, and I would like to hope that if I saw her in person, we could give each other the benefit of the doubt and we’d be OK,” he continued.

“But honestly the TV just amplifies everything, and I don’t want to bad mouth any of my relationships, but it is hard coming of Love Island and being in a relationship with someone because, you’re put into this bubble.”

Adam’s latest comments come after Laura recently admitted that she shared photos of herself and Adam with her 739k followers by accident.

Speaking on Aimee Fuller’s Monday Mile podcast, the ITV Sport presenter said: “I am really private… I only show you what I’m comfortable showing you – I like to keep it like that as much as possible.”

“So, I made a slight error, you know when you upload something to your main feed that’s meant to be like close friends?”
