X Factor's Chris Leonard: 'I have Crohn's Disease… so mad partying won't be happening'

Irish X Factor star Chris Leonard won’t be able to live the popstar lifestyle to its extreme – as he has Crohn’s Disease.

The 19-year-old is a member of Louis Walsh’s new eight-piece boyband, and the only Irish act to make live shows.

However Chris won’t be able to go mad with wild partying in their new multi-million euro home due to his lifelong digestive condition.

He said: “I was sick when I was younger from the time I was eight until I was 12 or 13 but it’s resolved now.

“I just know I have to look after myself and I do that by having a good diet and exercise. I’ve had a good mum who installed all that good living into me.”

And Chris said he won’t have any issues keeping the condition stable – as chefs will be cooking all his meals.

“We have our own cooks because they don’t trust us in the kitchen and they think we’d burn it down,” he told the Star.

“The place is amazing. The X Factor house is very posh, very posh indeed. The size of the bedrooms is twice that of any in my home.

“There’s a pool and chandeliers and a ping-pong table and gym – it really is a dream house.”

Now Chris revealed the new band’s name won’t be revealed until Saturday – after the other lads shot his proposals down.

He said: “I suggested Walking on Pavements but I only got stick from the other lads but now X Factor are running a competition with the fans so we’ll be revealing our new name next Saturday.”
