WATCH: Steven Spielberg’s new documentary on WWII looks INCREDIBLE

Steven Spielberg’s new documentary on WWII is set to be released on Netflix very soon.

The three-part series will focus on Hollywood’s impact on World War II, and how propaganda through cinema pushed the fight against Nazism.

The story is about the five greatest filmmakers of the forties – Frank Capra, John Ford, John Huston, George Stevens and William Wyler – and it looks at what happened when the US Armed Forces issued them with cameras during WWII.

WWII: This documentary will focus on how Hollywood affected WWII, and how WWII affected Hollywood | NETFLIX

Featuring narration from Meryl Streep, the documentary features interviews with some of the best directors of our generation, including Spielberg himself, The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola, Guillermo Del Toro, Paul Greengrass and Lawrence Kasdan.

Along with the launch of Five Came Back, Netflix will also present 13 documentaries discussed in the series, including John Ford’s The Battle of Midway, William Wyler’s The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress, and George Stevens’ Nazi Concentration Camps.

Five Came Back will come to Netflix on the 31st of March 2017.
