Viewers react to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard’s This Morning debut

Viewers have taken to their social media accounts and shown their support for Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard as they made their This Morning debut on Monday.

The pair were confirmed as the permanent replacements of Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield for the ITV daytime show.

Both Cat, 47, and Ben, 49, had hosted the show separately in the past, and impressed producers with their on-screen talent.

Speaking during the opening of the show, Cat said: “We are so excited to be here this show has been a part of our lives for so long.”

Ben, who previously left Good Morning Britain after 10 years, added: “Everyone has been so kind. thank you to everyone who has sent us messages of support.”

Fans of the show took to X on Monday morning to share their thoughts on the new permanent hosts.

One wrote: “I really like Cat and Ben and I’m sure they’ll be great as the new permanent presenters. Just relieved to finally have an end to all the chopping and changing, fingers crossed there’s some stability at last. Now just get them on the opening titles #ThisMorning.”
