The fate of And Just Like That has been revealed

The fate of And Just Like That has been revealed.

Ahead of the season two finale of the Sex and the City spin-off series, which will be available to stream on NOW this Thursday, executive producer Michael Patrick King confirmed the show has been renewed for a third season.

He said in a press release: “We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors. And Just Like That… here comes season 3.”

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis all reprised their roles as Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte for season two of the popular series.

Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in the original series, is set to make a cameo appearance in tomorrow night’s season finale.

According to The Daily Mail, the highly anticipated scene will see Carrie and Samantha talk to each other on the phone.

Speaking about her cameo on The View, Kim said: “It’s very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO saying, ‘What can we do?’ and I went ‘hmmm, let me get creative.'”

“And one of those things was to get Patricia Field back and I thought if I’m gonna come back, I gotta come back with that kind of Samantha style, I gotta push it, and we did!”

Patricia, who was the costume designer for Sex and the City, was unable to return for AJLT due to her commitments on Netflix’s hit show Emily in Paris.

Over the years, there has been speculation of a rift between SJP and Kim.

Last June, Sarah Jessica addressed rumours of a “catfight” between herself and Kim, telling The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast: “It’s so painful for people to keep talking about this ‘catfight’ – a fight.”

“I’ve never uttered fighting words in my life about anybody that I’ve worked with, ever. There is not a fight going on.”

“There has been no public dispute or spat or conversations or allegations made by me or anybody on my behalf. I wouldn’t do it. That is not the way I would have it.”

“So I just wish that they would stop calling this a catfight or an argument, because it doesn’t reflect, actually, there has been one person talking. And I’m not going to tell her not to, or anybody. So that’s been kind of painful for me also.”

To celebrate the season two finale of And Just Like That on NOWGoss.ie teamed up with influencer Holly Carpenter to test her knowledge on the famous franchise.
