Simon Cowell has admitted that Louis Walsh would call him in the early hours of the morning – screaming down the phone.
The pair worked together on the X Factor, and are back together again this year after Louis quit the show in 2015.
“What was so funny was that he used to phone me every week, I’d get an hour where he would scream down the phone,” he said.

The X Factor creator and judge revealed that the Mayo native would call him weekly about the show during the middle of the night.
“I’d be like, ‘Well, stop watching. I can’t help it, it’s not my fault if you don’t like it anymore,'” he told the Mirror.
“But honest to god, it was a weekly call. It would start about two in the morning and I’d be like, ‘Oh God, it’s Louis again.’
“I’d put it on speaker, lie down and listen.”

Despite the manic phone calls, the 56-year-old also admitted that he loved Louis’ passion for the show to do well.
“He was passionate, he missed the old show and I liked seeing that side of Louis,” he

“He’s got a big mouth, he’s outspoken and critical, but that’s what I love about him.”
