Comedian Oliver Callan is celebrating after his new series has already pulled in 400,000 viewers.
Callan’s Kicks is on RTE in the normal Late Late Show slot and has had a 31 percent share of TV audiences on Friday nights.

“The average for this slot once the Late Late goes off air is 20 per cent so to get well above that is effing brilliant,” he told the Sunday World.
In the meantime fellow RTE star Mario Rosenstock has been told his comedy series will not be returning this season.
