Joe Duffy gets ready to bring his radio show to TV – as Liveline gets the go ahead

Joe Duffy is set to host a TV version of his hugely successful radio show Liveline.

The radio star will be filming a pilot for the new programme as early as this morning.

The broadcasting legend will open the doors to his RTE Radio One studio today which will film the host chatting to some of Liveline’s most memorable callers.

The host will find out what happened these infamous callers after they put down the phone.

“We are doing a pilot programme for TV revisiting Liveline stories to find out what happened to people after they spoke to us,” he said.

“It’s never been done before,” he told the Star.

“Someone over in TV said we should go back and speak to those families and find out what happened to them.”
