Mrs Brown’s Boys is set to end for good in coming weeks – as the Christmas specials mark the end of the show.
Creator Brendan O’Carroll has turned down pleas from the BBC to make another season of the series.
And the Dublin comedian has axed any plans to make a sequel to big-screen hit Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie.

Son Danny – who plays Buster Brady in the show – said: “As far as I know, he said he’s not doing any more series and he’s not doing any more D’Movies.”
He added: “Dad likes to take time off. He always says he doesn’t judge success by money. He judges it by the time you can get off and spend with your grandkids and kids.”
But Danny, 31, told the Sunday Mirror there could potentially be a spin-off coming.

He said: “Now, I’ve heard little things that he might be getting the itch to start writing again, so we’ll see.
“We’re not putting pressure on him, but there’s loads of other stuff coming up and it’s quite exciting, other projects we’re going to be doing with the BBC which I can’t talk about.”
