RTE star Ryan Tubridy has insisted he isn’t worried about Pat Kenny’s TV chat show return.
The Newstalk presenter will make his return to the small screen with a similar series to Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, where he interviews one star each week.
And Tubs will be pitted against his Late Late Show predecessor when he returns on UTV Ireland from April.

But the 2FM presenter told Goss.ie that he wishes him well with the new show – and believes it’s “clever” to stick to just one guest.
He added: “I think it’s a good idea, I think he’ll be really good at it, I think it’s a really clever idea to do a Piers Morgan style programme.
“The beauty of it is you can talk for two hours then cut it down to the best bits. That’s always going to be a nice option to have – the cutting.
“And Pat is very forensic so one on one interview process would suit him down to the ground. I wish him well with that.”

It comes as Tubridy previously insisted he’s not leaving TV screens anytime soon after the revamp of the Late Late Show set.
He added: “There’s a sense…it says that I’m not going anywhere, I’m really happy in The Late Late Show, I think we’ve had the best season since we started, I’m much more comfortable doing the Late Late.
“I don’t know why or what happened but this September I came back thinking, felt more ownership for some reason.”
