Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer has revealed she would love to join the cast of Love/Hate.

The RTE show is set to return to screens in 2016 after it takes a year-long break following the death of Nidge.

And Natalie, 32, is hoping that she can be part of the cast when boss Stuart Carolan is looking for new additions.

She said: “That would be phenomenal. I’m serious, I would kill for a part on Love/Hate, it’s so slick and gripping.

“I haven’t seen every series, I’m a bit behind at the moment but that would be a wonderful job.

“Plus, it would bring me back to Ireland, which I know would make my fiance happy.”

Natalie is engaged to Dubliner Anthony Byrne, who has directed several episodes of the RTE crime series, and previously lived here for her role on Irish drama The Tudors.

She told the Sunday World: “It’s where I spent two years having the time of my life, working on one of the most important jobs of my career.”

She added: “I love it there; the spontaneity and likelihood to bump into someone you know.

“We spent last Christmas Eve in O’Donoghue’s and I ended up bumping into Jack Gleeson [who plays her Thrones husband King Joffrey] and having a few drinks with him.”
