“At the moment I’m writing something based in the UK. Hopefully we will be pitching that to UK networks,” she told Goss.ie.

“We’re going through that whole process at the moment. We’ve written the pilot and we’re planning who to pitch it to.

But the Dublin actress admitted she would love to write for RTE one day.

“If something really strikes me that’s really amazing and I wanna write it in Ireland, which I’d say will happen because I’m spending a lot more time here now.

“In that case, I’m sure I will write here and pitch to RTE or wherever. I would love to do that down the line,” she admitted.

Speaking at the launch of the Jim FitzPatrick’s exhibition in Dublin’s Green Gallery, Susan said she has been overwhelmed by the response to her debut novel.

“It’s been going really well. People have been responding really well to it, I’ve been getting some lovely takes messages and calls,” she said.

“You know the way people will finish reading it at certain times and I’ll get really nice responses from people saying ‘Oh, I was laughing at this part’, it’s just really nice.”
