Voice of Ireland presenter Eoghan McDermott has admitted that filming the hit show makes people think he has “bad personal hygiene”.
The Dublin TV host works on the RTE talent show alongside Kathryn Thomas, and although it looks glamorous, admitted he ends up turning people off.
Speaking to Goss.ie, Eoghan said people think he smells.
“It’s such a huge gig on the telly calendar, we film it so quickly but the auditions are done in four days and those four days are shown over eight weeks,” he said.

“Then everyone thinks you’ve got very bad personal hygiene, like you’ve only got one pair of underpants but it’s filmed very quickly.
“We have duplicates of everything so it’s always fresh but it’s on telly for a long time so people think you’re smelly,” he explained.
But there are some perks to the job, including hanging out with pal Bressie and spending time with the two new coaches Una Foden and Rachel Stevens from S Club 7.

“I suppose on paper they’re (Una Foden and Rachael Stevens) both similar but they’re both brilliant. The two of them have stepped it up big time,” he told Goss.ie.
“It’s perfectly timed for Rachael with the S Club 7 reunion. The younger auditionees with pop ambitions are looking doe eyed at Rachael.”
