Aoibhinn Garrihy: 'My mother thinks I'll be a bridezilla if my debs is anything to go by'

Fair city’s Aoibhinn Garrihy has revealed she has had no bridezilla moments planning her nuptials – insisting she’s been enjoying the process.

However the TV star, who is engaged to her fiance John Burke, admitted her mother has different ideas about her stress levels.

“Well, my mother said if my debs is anything to go by, she’ll be emigrating before it,” she said.

Speaking about the proposal which took place on her birthday in June on the Cliffs of Moher, the blonde beauty admitted it was very “cute”.

“The way he did it was very cute. He wouldn’t be that way inclined at all so maybe he got some help,” she told the RTE Guide.

Despite it being the first wedding in the family, Aoibhinn revealed her beau, who runs the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point, has been helping with the planning.

“It’s going to be next September in John’s hotel, so it’s great to have that wealth of knowledge,” she admitted.

“It hasn’t been stressful at all yet. I’ve really enjoyed it – there may be a career move yet to wedding planning.”

The actress famed for her role on Fair City – will be returning to the soap for some festive episodes and said she’s looking forward.

“I always had it in the back of my mind that Neasa left in a taxi and not a box, which was a good thing,”she divulged.

“I liked to think the door was always open there.”
