Idol: Katherine looks up to Rosanna Davison

“I’ve met her before and she’s just so down to earth and I think it’s amazing that she’s done so many different things for a pageant girl.”

“She’s done Miss World and she’s done Playboy. She’s also got a degree and I always made a point to put my education first. I think what she’s achieved is really admirable.”

The 23-year-old beauty is headed to Fiji next month to compete at the Miss World Supermodel competition.

“I’ve been chatting to them on Facebook so I’m very happy that we have that little group.”

“I can’t wait to head over to Fiji, I never thought I’d ever be going to Fiji, never mind this year. I’m so exited.”

Meanwhile Katherine has landed a new US fashion series. The Galway girl will star in new show The Fashion Hero.

The show will film for a week in Cancun, and revolves around changing the standards in the fashion industry.

“I’m leaving on Thursday to film the show. I literally found out about the show the day after I found out about the pageant and I didn’t expect to get either,,” she said.

“It was such hard competition to get into it and I didn’t think they’d pick me from Ireland.”
