WWE superstar Sheamus has admitted that he once barred Nicky Byrne from a club because he was underage.
Prior to finding fame as a wrestler, the 37-year-old worked a bouncer for a Dublin club where the young Westlife star tried to get in with his girlfriend.
“I wasn’t really a connoisseur of boybands at the time so I had no idea who you were,” Sheamus told Nicky on his 2fm show.

“I just knew you weren’t 21, so you weren’t coming in.”
While Nicky may have taken the rejection on the chin, his girlfriend was not too happy about it and took the 6ft 4in bouncer to task.
“The girlfriend was like ‘Do you know who he is? I was like ‘No’ because I don’t follow boybands.”

“She wasn’t happy. You (Nicky) were fine about it but she wasn’t happy.”
Nicky quickly denied the former girlfriend in question was his now wife Georgina because she is “much too quiet” to kick up such a fuss, leaving co-host Jenny Greene to joke the woman was “Kerry Katona”.
