Web Summit co-founder Paddy Cosgrave revealed Sharon Ní Bheoláin “never texted back” – while hosting a Web Summit meet up in Dublin tonight.
The Entrepreneur joked to the crowd at the initmate event that he had asked Sharon to speak during a panel session at the Web Summit HQ – but she never replied to his messages.
“I actually asked Sharon to host this panel tonight,” he told guests.
“But she never text me back…that was awkward…yes that was really awkward,” he laughed.
It comes nearly a year after Sharon aggressively interviewed Web Summit co-founder Daire Hickey, questioning why Paddy himself wouldn’t allow RTE to interview him druring the Dublin summit.
The video went viral at the time, for the sheer awkwardness of the interview.
People from start-up companies, media and investors attended the special event, after the first speakers were announced for the Web Summit which will take place this year in Lisbon from November 8th to November 10th.
Guests enjoyed beer, wine and pizza as they mingled ahead of the annual conference.
Paddy told the crowd while the Irish attendees of this year’s summit has gone down by 4%, overall attendance is up.
