Vogue Williams reveals she won Mission Survive with a back injury

Model Vogue Williams has admitted she won Bear Grylls adventure reality show, Mission Survive with a serious back injury.

The Dubliner won the survival show beating off stiff competition against rugby player Mike Tindall and Olympian Kelly Holmes, revealed she damaged her back when she fell down stairs a number of years ago.

“When I was about 21, I had a pretty bad fall down a staircase in a restaurant,” she shared.

“I fell awkwardly on my back, and although it was scary, I was OK, with only bruising and soreness in the base of my spine,

“But I’m rather clumsy, and a year later, I slipped and banged into the corner of a table,” she revealed.

“I was stunned to find I had actually three cracked vertebrae in the lower part of my spine – I had fractured them when I fell all those years before and I’d had no idea.”

The 29-year-old presenter revealed she gets regular treatment on her back and admitted she was shocked that she got through the ITV experience.

“I was really amazed I got through the 12 days,” she told the Herald.

The blonde bombshell will next appear in Vogue Does Straight A’s on RTÉ2 that looks at the tiny percentage of Irish students who manage six A1s in the Leaving Certificate this Wednesday.
