Una Healy has revealed the “downside” to co-parenting with her ex Ben Foden.
The Saturdays star split from the English rugby player in 2018 after six years of marriage, amid claims he was unfaithful.
The singer subsequently decided to move back to her native Tipperary in 2020, where she now lives with their two children – Aoife Belle, 11, and Tadhg, 8.
Speaking to RSVP, Una said: “Ireland is an amazing place for kids to grow up and I had a wonderful childhood here, and I’m so lucky that my kids are going to have the same experience.
“It was lovely in the UK and I was happy over there, but I did feel it was time to come home. I think this is the right place for all of us.”
While Una loves being able to raise her kids in Ireland, the songstress has admitted its unfortunate they can’t see their dad every day.
Ben currently lives in New York with his new wife Jackie, and their three-year-old daughter Farrah.
The 42-year-old explained: “They spent a few weeks in the summer out there and they were doing something fun every day.
“That’s the nice side to it and the downside is that they don’t get to see him every day.
“That’s how it is for us and I’ve accepted that now, as have the kids.”
