Una Foden: 'Being a mum didn't jeopardise my career'

Singer Una Foden has revealed becoming a mum hasn’t hurt her career.

The Tipperary native admitted that having children was the next step in her life after getting married to her rugby player beau Ben Foden.

“Becoming a mum is a really natural progression in my life,” she said.

“I don’t think it’s changed my career – it definitely hasn’t jeopardised it”.

The recent mum-of-two who just gave birth in February, admitted she not thinking of adding to her brood just yet.

“Right now that’s it, but I’d never say never. I’m not sure how I’ll feel in a year’s time,” she told Glamour Magazine.

Meanwhile, Una revealed her three-year-old daughter Aoife has been a great help with her baby brother Tadhg.

“Yes, she’s an amazing help. She likes to help out changing nappies and she totally adores him!” she shared.

The Saturday’s singer has had a successful career in music and revealed she wouldn’t stop her daughter from pursuing a career in pop.

“Whatever Aoife decides to do I’ll support and encourage her,” she divulged.

“I think she’ll be sporty though, like her dad. She’s such a fast runner!”
