Tommy Tiernan has announced the end of his hit podcast show, leaving fans devastated.
The comedian and his co-hosts Laurita Blewitt and Hector O’hEeochagain have said they will no longer be recording their hit podcast.
The trio took to Twitter with a statement that said: “Tommy, Hector and Laurita have made the difficult decision to close the Henhouse podcast door for good.”

The statement continued: “This wonderful podcast started during the pandemic when all three had clear work schedules and although it has been hugely successful and a wonderful experience for all involved, it became tougher to find time to record together allowing for each of their individual careers and schedules.”
“Thank you for listening. The Henhouse Team.”
Each of the three hosts had something to say to fans of the hit podcast, which generated over 20 million listens in its first two and a half years.
Tommy, 54, wrote: “Thank you so much for listening to us over the past few years and a thousand thank you’s to Hector and Laurita for making me laugh more than anyone else ever has.”
“It was a wild and brilliant trip… see you down the road for a few morning pints!”
“Comhrá Abú… grá mór, meas mór, gáire an mhór… Tommy.”
Hector then reminisced on the past few years and said: “I just want to say a big thank you for listening in on our conversations down in the Hen House over the past few years.”
“I’ve had some of the best laughs with Tommy and Laurita on this podcast, in tears with giddiness and craic, we have had our ups and downs, and stories, loads and loads of stories.”
“Thanks to Yvonne, Joe and SwanMcG for everything. I’ll miss ye… ye big pack of sneers! Méas Mór, Hector x.”
Finally, Laurita added: “It’s been such a fun few years doing the podcast with two of my greatest pals. We have had so many laughs together and so glad that we had you alongside us enjoying it as much as we did.”
“From recording in the Hen House to getting creamy pints in so many beautiful old bars across the West. It has been nothing but a joy with Tommy and Hector.”
“Thanks to everyone who made the podcast a success and to Joe, Yvonne and all at SwanMcG for keeping us between the ditch.”
Laurita also teased future plans saying: “This may not be the last you hear from me… or Audrey… watch this space, Laurita.”
The podcasters’ gutted fans were blindsided by the announcement.
One fan commented: “Thanks for all the memories stories and the laughs will be missed sadly for lots of us thanks for giving pleasure to us all good luck and go well the three of you Tommy Hector and Laurita. Go raibh mile maith agat.”
Another listener replied: “Noooooooooo!!!!! Thank you for all of the amazing episodes and for all of the laughs. I’m gutted and will really miss the podcast 😢.”
